How many movies you watched last week and your test grade that week.

Hypothesis

if i asked each student in my class how many  movies they watched last week and what their test score was then the more movies they watched the less their grade was. that makes it a negative contrast. so say I watched 17 movies last week- then i probably got a C- on my test because it was reveiw- but i didn't study or get enough sleep the night before because i was up until 1am watching horror movies and was too scared out of my pants to go to sleep. But...lets say you're a nerd and you only watched 2 movies last week because you were busy studying for your test and playing bored games with your brother when you realized your brain hurt from all that thinking and watched a couple school house rock movies. You got and A+ on your test. thats about what i think my scatter plot is going to look like....

Reflection:

i was correct. The person who watched 0 movies has a 98% in math, the 2nd highest grade in the class. and the person with the lowest grade, 75% watched 8 movies. so people who didn't watch many movies were most likely studying while  the other people were watching movies.

although there are many people who followed this rule there are also a few outliers. like the person who only watched 1 movie but has an 81%. not that the grade is bad, it's just lower than the others that are in the 90%'s. and there is also the person who watched 10 movies but has a 96%, one of the highest grades in the class. 4th to be exact.

math isn't science. so it's not a proven fact that if you watched 21 movies last week you're going to fail the class, but unless you cheat or have a photographic memory, you're probably not going to do so well. and that's just common sense. but, don't not watch movies because you think it will make you smarter either.
